How my aquarium started?

It all began when my wife and 2 daughters went for an outing with the child care centre. That term, the child care was teaching sea creatures and they decided to bring the kids to a fish farm. They went to Qianhu, a well known fish farm in Singapore. My 2 daughters brought back about 10 fishes and a fish tank each after having a fun time catching them in Qianhu. I don't know what type of fishes they were but some looks like guppies.

Then came Sunday. My younger daughter, Jackie's Sunday school taught them about creation. She was given some gold fishes. That is when I decided that I should buy a cheap air pump to keep the fishes alive. I bought a 3rd fish tank for the fishes given by the Sunday school.

Without the air-pump, their chances of survival is reduced. I chose the smallest pump which cost me $3, the air tube at 30 cents and 3 air stones 50 cents (each). Naturally, the air tube is to send the air from the pump to the fish aquarium. The air stone was new to me, we don't have that 20 years ago. It's purpose is to break the air into smaller bubbles to prevent turbulent water surface. I bought an air splitter later on to split the air into 3 channels, one for each fish tank. The shop assistant doubted the pump was strong enough but I have proven them wrong. The air was more than sufficent for the 3 tanks.
